Supporting Community Organisations across Tasmania
We are pleased to share the latest recipients - ocal community groups, all of whom have been nominated by Stornoway staff members.
Cavalier Netball Club
This Launceston based Not For Profit sporting organisation will use their grant for new sporting equipment, playing uniforms for the club as well as supporting an internal coaching mentoring program. The Cavaliers Netball Club often attend schools etc. providing netball clinics throughout the greater community of Launceston and are known as an inclusive club. They promote sport and being active to younger kids and also provide a pathway to elite netball.
Nominated by Adrian, he says "I really admire the way the Cavs Netball Club support the community at grass roots level of kids sport, they promote an active lifestyle as well as a pathway for kids into netball. In my view a lot of the Cavaliers values align with Stornoway and I would be proud to have our brand alongside theirs!"
Devonport Bulls Club
Rugby is a minority sport in Tasmania especially in the North West. The junior rugby program for the North west is based out of Devonport, taking in the greater Burnie and Devonport areas. The grant will go towards new training equipment and playing gear for the juniors program. Financial assistance will go towards better equipping the juniors and hopefully, in turn encourage more participation in the greater community.
